Total Recall: You Make Me Wish I Had Three Hands

Total Recall: Get Ready for the Ride of Your Life
Get ready for the ride of your life.

Hands down (three in fact) one of the best action movies to emerge from the 1990s, "Total Recall" is an Arnold Schwarzenegger classic! With enough one-liners to fill a space cruiser, and a slew of clever plot twists, it's easy to see why it remains a quintessential sci-fi masterpiece.

"C'mon baby, you know you're the girl of my dreams." -Douglas Quaid

I've personally seen this movie at least 43 times. In fact, I will probably see it at least 43 more times before I die. Filled to the brim with action, spy intrigue, memorable one-liners, and futuristic gadgetry, it will forever remain in my Arnold Top 5. So what are you waiting for? Get your ass to Mars and watch this movie on VHS!!

Wait A Minute Mr. Postman!

Ringo Starr - in Stamp Form
Ringo: everyone's favorite Beatle.

Upon hearing that the Beatles classic, 'Yellow Submarine', only made it to #2 on the Billboard charts (as revealed in a recent final Jeopardy answer, er...um, question), I was floored. Why? Because the Ringo-sung songs were my favorite! 'Octopus's Garden', 'Don't Pass Me By', 'Act Naturally'...the list goes on and on. Well, not really--there were only 11 songs fronted by the Fab Four drummer. But you get my point.

Will You Be My Star Wars Valentine?

"You're my only hope!" (for a Star Wars-themed Valentine's Day)

If my lady friend gave me one of these, I'd feel pretty darn special. Why? Because these vintage Star Wars pop-up Valentine's cards are sweet! From 1997, each card flips open to display your favorite Star Wars character (with a semi-romantic message, of course).

Each set of 10 cards (and envelopes) features Princess Leia (with R2-D2), Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, C-3PO, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, Jabba the Hutt, Stormtrooper, and a Tie Fighter. Now available in the Etsy shop!

New Star Wars Action Figure in the Shop: Han Solo in Hoth Gear!

1995 Power of the Force Han Solo in Hoth Gear.

Just listed in the shop--this 1995 Power of the Force Han Solo action figure. From the "Empire Strikes Back", this particular figure was one of my favorites from the 1990's Kenner re-release. Complete with his original accessories and dressed to the nines in his Hoth gear parka, Mr. Solo is ready for some cold weather action.

New Action Figure in the Shop: 1983 GI Joe Destro!

Fans of the classic, 1980's "GI Joe" animated series will surely be delighted to see that a new action figure has landed at Half Pint Salvage. Meet the double-crossing, slightly maniacal Cobra head honcho, Destro!

1983 Destro action figure.

With his shiny, domed head and vintage-style pistol, Destro was perhaps the coolest Cobra figure to emerge from the '83 Hasbro line. Maybe it was the mystery surrounding his appearance. Or perhaps it was his cartoonish, evil voice.

An overhead view of Destro's dome. Shiny indeed!

Whatever the reason, Destro was a certified bad-ass action figure. And now he's back in action after a 20+ year hiatus. Additional pics and condition details in my Etsy listing.

Proof that Destro was an enemy weapons supplier: his file card!

New Action Figures in the Etsy Shop: 1990's C-3PO and R2-D2

Just listed over at Half Pint Salvage: the lovable and comical droid duo, C-3PO and R2-D2. These versions are from the 1995 Power of the Force (POTF) toy line and are in excellent shape. So if you're looking for the perfect Father's Day gift, you might just want to wander over and have a looksy.

I Pity The Fool! Mr. T: A Look Back.

If you grew up in the 80's, Mr. T was a pop culture god. With his mohawk, gold jewelry and hulking muscles, what wasn't to like? Throw in the gravely voice and the trademark catch phrases, and he basically became a living legend.

Mr. T, I don't pity you. I salute you. Thanks for being awesome.
