Burrito Craving

Last Thursday, I spotted a new Chipotle downtown. And instantly, I was hungry. I freaking LOVE burritos. In fact, back in the days of my roaring 20's, eating late-night burritos was a ritual. We'd drink a lot of beer, walk over to 7-11 and buy one of the best frozen burritos ever invented, "The Bomb"... I kid you not.

The pillar of nutritional values, "The Bomb".

For the Love of Blogs

Being a blogger is hard work. You have to create, inspire and entertain. So imagine the pressure to come up with creative, inspirational and entertaining posts over and over and over again. Not so easy.

That's why these bloggers (and their blogs) are so amazing. They not only make me want to post more and more each day, they inspire me to search for stuff that's more than just...well, stuff. Because who knows, someone may turn to the Half Pint Review for creativity, inspiration and entertainment some day...

Geometrics

My brain seems to be happier when geometric shapes and themes are in play. Doesn't matter if they're in the foreground or background--any "ground" works well. A clever arrangement of squares, a never-ending sequence of interlaced triangles, or even a mod-themed, geometric pattern--they all seem to stimulate my network of neurons.

Giclee print, $33 - from Inaluxe.
Embroidered necklace, $75 - from Spinthread.
"Moon" t-shirt, $25 - from Blackbird Tees.
Paper assembly card, $8 - from Essimar.

Clockwork Orange...turquoise, red and more!

My vintage clock died last month. It was such a sweetheart of a clock too--yellowish, with a faux bois display, and the cutest set of constantly flipping numbers. (Sigh)...the sadness...

But then I discovered "Clockwork Universe" on Etsy. This Latvian gem of a shop features a slew of vintage Russian alarm clocks, watches and other time-keeping goodies. Yup, I'm pretty sure my "new" vintage clock is in here somewhere...

Vintage turquoise alarm clock, $35.
Antique German alarm clock, $69.
Vintage red alarm clock, $28.
Vintage 1950's USSR alarm clock, $28.

Feathers in the wind

For me, the weekend means it's farmer's market time. Georgetown on Saturday, Fremont on Sunday...this is the routine. Starting at about 8am (each day), Jody and I set up the Blackbird Tees booth. After that, we sit back and hopefully enjoy a day filled with happy customers (and sales).

Today was a bit chilly; definitely a sleeping bag kind of day. And as I sat, cozily cocooned in my sleeping bag, a little tuft of goose feather filling escaped and floated through the air...

"Feathers" art print, $20 - from Groundwork.
"Fly Away" moleskine journal, $20 - from Mary's Granddaughter.
Silver feather ring, $16 - from Velvet.
